about

lyrics

For once I see the light.
No shadows cast by thumbs,
but the sun is far more harsh than I had known.
Still I will fill my lungs,
for they've never been so pure.
But, am I sheltered here? I can't outrun myself.

I'm silent, once again.
With vacant glances at the room,
here I am. I've fallen too far.

Rain falling now.
I'm soaked in relief.
With rain comes floods and I can't tread.

I'm silent, once again.
My stomach knows before my heart.
The knowledge of how I've lived is capsized and sinking in.
Here I am, alone in my thoughts.

I am frail and weary
because I can't sleep in this strange place
with only one pulse on repeat.
I am hollowed once more.
The endless flow of dignity could never make me whole alone.
I am feeble, so tired.
My dreams are haunted with the truth
of falling out of your good grace.

I'm silent, once again.
With no one left to catch my faults,
here I am.
